about

Gary O'Slide has been playing the guitar since he was 12.
He played in several bands until he decided to focus on slide guitar after discovering incredible instruments such as Weissenborn, Dobro square neck, lap steel and Mohan Veena. His compositions are mostly instrumental pieces with western blues and Folk atmospheres.
His main inspirations are, among others, Ry Cooder Kelly Joe Phelps, Martin Harley, Harry Manx, Jack Rose, Daniel Bachman, Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Mike witcher, Charlie Parr, Jeff lang and Phillip Henry.
Alone With Yourself, is an album with nine tracks meant to be listened to in order. The first piece, "Alone With Yourself", sets the stage for the rest of this peaceful album as it invites listeners to relax and enjoy the music.

The next two pieces are "Chasing You" and "Serenéité". These tracks are very laid-back and resemble distinct western movies. They allow listeners to dive into a world where peace rules and where everything can be left behind for a moment.

"Canyon". This song has some kind of melancholy sound but at the same time, it's very relaxing because of the slide guitar and the main melody.

"Hina" is a beautiful and enchanting composition with folk guitar. The melody is enchanting and Gary's playing is emotive and expressive.

"Discrétion" It is a mellow, relaxing song that is perfect for a Sunday morning.

"Précipice." The intro is a dark and suspenseful passage that quickly gives way to Gary's signature guitar work. This song is one of my favourites on the album because it's just so darn catchy. The beat is strong and Gary's guitar playing is top-notch as always. If you're looking for a good toe-tapping, head-bobbing bluesy number to get your day started, then look no further than "Précipice.

The album is near the end with the intense and passionate track "Burn". The song showcases Gary's skills as a musician and composer. The song is emotional and powerful, and it is sure to leave a lasting impression on listeners.

Gary's Orient Blues is the album's finale and it's a masterpiece. The track begins with a slow and somber intro that Gary's fans will instantly recognize as his unique sound. The piece quickly builds in intensity, culminating in a beautiful and powerful guitar solo. Gary has really outdone himself on this album, and I can't wait to hear what he comes up with next!

Gary O'Slide combines blues, folk, and western atmospheres to create a very relaxing instrumental album. It's really good for background music, but you'll also enjoy listening to each track separately.
