Don't Speak by Jerry Thomas Trio is a beautiful composition. It's soft and calming, with a feeling of nostalgia for the great classics of Jazz. The melody is lovely, and the double bass solo is a standout feature. This track is a must-listen for any fan of Jazz music. The song opens with a gentle and emotive theme, which is soon joined by the double bass solo. This provides a nice contrast and allows the listener to appreciate the full range of sounds that the trio are able to create. Then is time for the piano solo with influences by Red Garland, Wynton Kelly, Hank Jones, Kenny Drew and Tommy Flanagan. The melody is then reprised with a lovely classic ending.
